I don't remember Rita's being that popular when I lived in Baltimore but I guess I've been gone a while now. So when I begged my mom to take my to the snowball stand, she insisted that I have Rita's. I'd like to think it was because she thought I needed to try a new culinary experience representative of the current foodie scene in Baltimore, but when I begged for a snowball, she said 'Put on your big-girl-panties and try the damn custard' so I figured out that it was just her favorite place to go. She also promised that if I quit whining, she'd take me for a snowball later. Hurray!
I chose the chocolate/vanilla swirl, not the non-fat option. You can also get fruit slushie flavors with a swirl of the custard in it. I don't know, is that weird? I just stuck with the custard because I knew that I was going to get the snowball later. 
Anyway, it was great frozen custard. Cool and creamy. It didn't feel too fatty, kinda light. If I lived there, I would probably go back. Yum! Happy Mothers' Day!
